The GRG announces the age validation of Marie-Jeanne Dressayre, known as Aimee to those who know her. Aimee was born August 30th 1913 in Toulouse, Occitanie, France. She lived in Paris for some time, working as a laboratory assistant, then a seamstress, finally a postwoman. Aimee married at 19 but ended up divorcing. She had no children. She did have a partner though, although they never married. Aimee now resides in a care home in La Chapelle-d’Andaine, Orne, Normandy, at age 110. Aimee’s age was verified by Sylvain Grosgeorge, accepted as valid by the GRG from today, January 25th 2024.

The GRG announces the age validation of Mary Joyce Wooding, nee Bromwich, known as Joyce to those who knew her. Joyce was born September 6th 1911 in Staverton, Northamptonshire, England, and had one younger sister. In July 1946, Joyce married Leslie S Wooding. They moved to live in Wooton, Northamptonshire together. Joyce lived on her own until moving into a care home in 2018. In 2020, she contracted COVID-19, but recovered at age 108. She passed away in Northampton, aged 110 years, 125 days, on January 9th 2022. The GRG announces the age validation of Denise Jeanne Clemence Marie Leroy, nee Puiroux. Denise was born in Nantes, Loire-Atlantique, France, on July 3rd 1913. In October of 1937, Denise married Yves Leroy, a soldier, going on to have at least one child – a son. She worked as a notary, worked for the city council and served as mayor for 14 years. Denise currently still lives in Nantes, Loire-Atlantique, at age 110. Her age was verified by Sylvain Grosgeorge, correspondent for France, accepted as validated by the GRG with today’s date – January 24th 2024.

The GRG announces the age validation of Damaris Josephine Bryant. Damaris was born in Port Morant, Saint Thomas, Jamaica, on May 12th 1909, to Andrew Bryant and Jemima Bryant, nee Taylor. She moved to the UK in the 1950’s, settling in the Wandsworth Borough of London. She worked as a nurse and did charity work during her working life in the UK. She never married or had children. Damaris became a naturalized citizen in late 1967, living in the Battersea area of Wandsworth, where she remained for the rest of her life. She moved into a care home in later years, where she passed away aged 110 years, 353 days,…

The GRG announces the age validation of Eileen May Ash, nee Whelan. Eileen was born October 30th 1911 in Highbury, Islington, London, England. Eileen worked for the Civil Service from the age of 18, later seconded to MI6 during the Second World War. In the 1930’s and 1940’s, Eileen played Cricket for England women’s team. In April 1950, she married but did not have any children. In later life, Eileen remained as active as ever. She played golf until 98, became one of Britain’s oldest known drivers in her centenarian years, took a flight in a Tiger Moth at age 106, rang the bell at Lord’s Cricket Ground at age…
