Ana Schneider, the oldest living person in Urugray, celebrated her 110th birthday
The Gerontology Research Group (GRG) is pleased to announce that Mrs. Ema Ana Schneider de Arbuet, the oldest living person in Urugray, has celebrated her 110th birthday on 10 April 2026 in Colonia Department.
Ana Schneider was born in Colonia Department, Uruguay, on 10 April 1916 (claims 1 April 1916), to Guillermo Schneider and Ema Hellbusch. She had 12 siblings. Her nephew is reported to be alive over the age of 90.
On 3 September 2024, following the death of 109 year old Teresa Bottazzi, she became the oldest known living person in Uruguay, but 110-year-old Ana claims to be older.
On 25 November 2024, she voted for the second round of Uruguay’s presidential election, becoming one of the oldest known people in Uruguay to vote.
On 10 April 2026, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
Ana Schneider currently lives in Campana City, Colonia Department, Uruguay, at the age of 110.
