Rosamond McCuskey (1887-1998) validation

The GRG announces the age validation of Rosamond Frances McCuskey, nee James. Rosamond was born November 4th 1887 in Fairbury, Livingston County, Illinois, USA, to Percy and Olive James. She had at least three siblings. On December 6th 1910 (claimed December 1909 in the obituary), Rosamond married Joseph Carl McCuskey in Livingston County, Illinois. After marrying, they settled in Stuttgart, Arkansas County, Arkansas and went on to have three children together – a son and two daughters. By 1940, Rosamond was sadly widowed, after which she did not remarry. She outlived all three of her children, eventually living with grandchildren in Nesbit, DeSoto County, Mississippi, for the last two years of her life. Rosamond reportedly remained well and active until well after her 106th birthday. She passed away in a hospital in Southaven, DeSoto County, Mississippi, on August 31st 1998, aged 110 years, 300 days.
