Martha Peck (1882-1994) validation
The GRG announces the age validation of Martha Jane Peck, nee Butler. Martha was born May 14th 1882 in Buffalo County, Wisconsin, USA, to Ephraim and Elizabeth Butler. After graduating from high school, Martha moved to Minnesota and worked as a teacher. On May 9th 1914, Martha married Guy Stanley Peck back in Buffalo County, Wisconsin. They settled in Durand, Pepin County, Wisconsin, where Martha would spend the rest of her life. They went on to have at least three children together. Martha was sadly widowed on December 1st 1930, after which she did not remarry. She passed away in Durand on March 31st 1994, aged 111 years, 321 days.
Martha’s age was verified by Filipe Prista Lucas, Anson Davis, Thomas Breining, Ilias Leivaditis and Waclaw Jan Kroczek. This was accepted by the GRG as valid with a retroactive date of September 13th 2016.
