The GRG announces the age validation of Wilhelmina Johanna Hubertina Hoorn, nee Ronck. Wilhelmina was born in Tegelen, Limburg, Netherlands, on November 6th 1903. On June 7th 1922, at the age of 18, she married Hendrik Cornelis Hoorn in Rotterdam and they went on to have three children. They emigrated to the United States in the 1930’s. Sadly, her husband died when he was only 46, leaving her a widow – she never remarried. Wilhelmina passed away in Altamonte Springs, Seminole County, Florida, on November 30th 2013, aged 110 years, 24 days.
Wilhelmina’s age was verified by Sipke de Boer, Stefan Jamin, et al and later accepted as valid, retroactively, on April 28th 2016.
