The validation of Ai Maeda, 111, of Aomori Prefecture, Japan

The Gerontology Research Group is delighted to announce the validation of Mrs. Ai Maeda of Japan.

Ai Maeda was born in Japan on March 27, 1912. On March 27, 2022, Maeda celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian. She is currently the oldest living person in Aomori Prefecture, Japan. Ai Maeda currently lives in Aomori, Japan at the age of 111 years, 253 days.

Ai Maeda’s age was meticulously examined and verified by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare, and Aomori City, and validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) as of June 24, 2023.
