The GRG announces the age validation of Nels (born as Nils) Berger. Nels was born in Soer-Odal, Oeslandet, Norway on October 20th 1885 to Hans and Maren Berger. In 1905 he emigrated to the US, settling in East Fork, Williams County, North Dakota. On August 8th 1911, Nels married Tillie Melland and they went on to have three children, also adopting a nephew who’s parent’s had died whilst he was young. In October 1913, Nels became a naturalized citizen. In later life, Nels moved into a nursing facility in Williston, Williams County, North Dakota, where he later died on September 22nd 1996, aged 110 years, 338 days. His age was…

The GRG announces the age validation of Henrietta Bruce, nee Goddard. Henrietta was born in Barbados (then British West Indies) on July 18th 1891 to William and Henrietta Goddard and was one of 10 children. In 1899, the family moved to the US, first settling in New Jersey. In October of 1921, Henrietta married William B Bruce in New Jersey, going on to have one child – a son name William Bruce Jr. After marrying, the couple moved to Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island, where Henrietta was to spend the rest of her life. She passed away on July 21st 2001, aged 110 years, 3 days, at a nursing facility…

The GRG announces the age validation of Emma Jefferies, formerly Fowlkes, nee Toone. Emma was born in Lunenburg County, Virginia, USA on August 11th 1899 to William Henry Toone and Delia Eva Hays Toone, nee Fields. On January 2nd 1920, Emma married Moses Edward Fowlkes in Lununburg County, but was sadly widowed by 1930. On May 15th 1931, Emma married Robert Jefferies in Manhatten, New York. She had at least one daughter. Emma passed away in New Rochelle, Westchester, New York, on August 20th 2011, aged 112 years, 9 days. Emma’s age was verified by Gabriel Ainsworth, Filipe Prista Lucas, Anson Davis and Stefan Jamin, later retroactively accepted as valid…

The GRG announces the age validation of Emma Letitia Galode, nee Lempriere. Emma was born August 22nd 1882 in St Johns, St Johns Island, Newfoundland, Canada, to Alfred and Harriet Lempriere. She had at least 6 siblings. On June 30th 1910, Emma married John Emmanuel Galode, known as Jack, going on to have one child – a daughter named Frances. Sadly, Jack passed away in 1952, leaving Emma a widow. She lived in Hamilton, Ontario for 84 years, before moving to Oshawa. Frances passed away in 1990. Emma reportedly was still active into her supercentenarian years, even making her own meals at age 111. She died at Whitby General Hospital…
