The GRG announces the age validation of Isabell (as spelled in the birth record) Dryden, nee Faskin. Isabel was born October 16th 1888 in Elora, Wellington County, Ontario, Canada, to Samuel Faskin and Maria Elizabeth Faskin, nee Byes. On December 29th 1917, Isabell married Guy William Dryden in Prince Edward County, Ontario. They had two children – a son and a daughter. After marrying, the family moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, to raise their family. Sadly, Guy passed away June 7th 1955, leaving Isabell a widow – she did not remarry. Throughout her working life, Isabell was reportedly a much loved and dedicated teacher. She passed away in Vancouver General…
Iva Pressey (1890-2002) validation
The GRG announces the age validation of Iva Pressey, nee Oehler. Iva was born January 31st 1890 in Cramer Hill, Camden, Camden County, New Jersey, USA, and baptised on April 6th 1890. Her parents were Otto C and Emma E Oehler and it does not appear that she had any siblings. In May of 1912, Iva married Walter Stanley Pressey. They went on to have at least one child together – Walter Stanley Jr. Iva was sadly widowed on April 6th 1952, when Walter passed away suddenly, after which she didn’t remarry. The GRG announces the age validation of Corinne Lambeth, nee Emerson, known as Cora to those who knew her. Cora was born March 19th 1884 in Illinois, USA, to Joseph A and Clara N Emmerson. She had at least two siblings. By 1900, the family were living in Morganfield, Union County, Kentucky. By 1910 they had moved again to Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee. At the age of 27, in 1911 or 1912, Cora married William Edward Lambeth, and they went on to have three children – A son and two daughters. The GRG announces today the age validation of Hazel Mary Schultz, nee Anthony. Hazel was born January 12th 1913 in Mozart, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Clarence Joseph Anthony and Dagmar Anthony, nee Iwerson. She had at least one sibling – a younger brother, who sadly died at age 37. Hazel’s father died at age 98 and her mother at age 101. On April 13th 1923, the family landed in the US, settling in Washington State. On May 16th 1941, Hazel married Herbert Philip Schultz and they went on to have three children.
