Anna Wilmot (1898-2009) validation

The GRG announces the age validation of Anna B Wilmot, nee Gloth. Anna was born August 15th 1898 in Holyoke, Hampden County, Massachusetts, USA, to Samuel Gloth and Sarah Gloth, nee Zimmerman. She had at least seven siblings. Anna lived most of her life in Hampden County, Massachusetts, but married Frederick B Wilmot in Manhattan, Now York City, New York, on September 1st 1922. They went on to have one child together – a son named Frederick Jr. Later in life she moved to California, before setting off to the Philipines. Anna kept active well into her centenarian years, walking until just one month before her death. In 2006, Anna moved to Concepcion, Cebu Island, Philipines, to live with her son and daughter-in-law. She passed away there on May 10th 2009, aged 110 years, 268 days. Anna was thought to possibly be the oldest person in the Philippines at the time of her passing.

Her age was verified by Filipe Prista Lucas, Anson Davis, Andrew Holmes, et al. This was accepted as validated by the GRG with a retroactive date of November 12th 2016.
