The GRG announces today the age validation of Constance Marie Deffay, nee Dubois (known as Marie to those who know her). Marie was born September 18th 1913 in Chatres, Mayenne, Pays de la Loire, France, to Florentin and Eugenie Dubois. She was the youngest of six children to the couple. On November 18th 1941, Marie married Robert Raymond Lucien Deffay, who was over four years younger than her. They went on to have at least two children together – both sons. Sadly Robert passed away on May 1st 2008, aged 90, leaving Marie a widow. At 110, Marie still lives in her own home, as independently as possible, in Soulge-sur-Ouette.
Her age was verified by Sylvain Grosgeorge and accepted by the GRG as validated today, February 10th 2024.
