Maria Gauvin (1913-present) validation
The GRG announces today the age validation of Maria Francoise Pauline Gauvin, nee Hameline. Maria was born in Saint-Anne-Sur-Vilaine, Brittany, France, on August 22nd 1913, to Jean Marie and Francoise Marie Hameline. Her parents were both farmers, as was her husband-to-be. On October 1st 1935, at age 22, Maria married Pierre Marie Gauvin (born 1908) in the same city as her birth. They went on to have six children together, three of which are still living. Sadly, Maria lost Pierre in 1977 – he was 69. After this she did not remarry. Maria currently lives in the same city as her birth, at age 110.
Maria’s age was verified meticulously by our correspondent for France, Sylvain Grosgeorge. This was accepted as validated by the GRG yesterday, January 5th 2024.
