Maurice Le Coutour, France’s second-oldest living man, celebrated his 110th birthday
Gerontology Research Group is pleased to announce that Mr. Maurice Le Coutour, the second-oldest living man in France, celebrated his 110th birthday in Barfleur, Manche, Normandy, France on 12 May 2024 as confirmed by our GRG Correspondent for France Mr. Sylvain Grosgeorge.
Maurice Le Coutour was born in Gouberville, Normandy, France on 12 May 1914. His father Edouard was a carpenter and his mother a housewife. He worked as a secretary at the Tocqueville dairy and then a school bus driver. He retired at the age of 65.
He became the oldest living World War II veteran in France and second-oldest living man in France, following the death of 111-year-old André Ludwig on 7 January 2024.
