The GRG announces the age validation of Esther Mitchener, nee Spaulding. Esther was born August 17th 1871 in Edgerton, Johnson County, Kansas, USA, to James and Esther Spaulding. On June 25th 1897, she married William P Mitchener in Tooele, Tooele County, Utah, and they went on to have one daughter, Marcella, in 1899. They reportedly moved to Seattle, King County, Washington, in 1928. William sadly died there in 1942, leaving Esther a widow. After this, she lived with her daughter. Esther passed away in Seattle on April 13th 1983, aged 111 years, 239 days.
Her age was verified by Anson Davis, et al, and later accepted by the GRG as valid with a retroactive date of August 29th 2016.
