Clara Mackenzie (1885-1998) validation
The GRG is delighted to announce the age validation of Clara Mackenzie, nee Gould Moulton. Clara was born October 7th 1885 in St Johns, Newfoundland Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. She was born to Abraham Moulton and Caroline (Gould) Moulton and had nine siblings, of which she was the eldest. In the early 1900’s the family moved to the United States, settling in Boston, Massachusetts. On June 22nd 1907, Clara married Donald Mackenzie in Boston and they went on to have three children – Carolyn, Donald Jr and Christine. She spent much of her life in Massachusetts, before moving to Towson, Baltimore County, Maryland in 1965. By 1990, Clara was living in St James Plaza Nursing Facility in Saint James, Suffolk County, New York. Clara passed away there at age 112 years, 149 days.
Clara’s age was verified by Anson Davis, Mark Muir, Waclaw Jan Kroczek and myself. This verification was later accepted as valid from a retroactive date of June 18th 2016.
