Ruth Andreasen (1903-2013) validation
The GRG announces the age validation of Ruth Mildred Andreasen, nee Poppen. Ruth was born February 8th 1903 in Parkersburg, Butler County, Iowa, USA. When she was 6 the family moved to Minnesota, where she lived for the remainder of her life. On March 18th 1923, Ruth married James George Andreasen – a First World War veteran, and went on to have three children. The couple became farmers, doing this until they both retired in 1969. Ruth was widowed on October 4th 1985. She remained active throughout her life, only moving into a care facility at age 103. Ruth passed away on March 8th 2013, aged 110 years, 28 days, in Stewartville, Olmstead County, Minnesota.
Ruth’s age was verified by Mark Muir, Waclaw Jan Kroczek, et al, later accepted as retroactively valid on April 13th 2016.
