Ellen Barber (1903-2014) validation
The GRG announces the age validation of Ellen R Barber, nee Kemper, known as Dolly. Ellen was born October 20th 1903 in Eden Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA. On December 31st 1922, Ellen married Jonathan Thomas Barber and they went on to have one son, Jack. In February 1985, Ellen lost her husband, leaving her a widow for the rest of her life. Ellen and her husband had enjoyed a long and happy marriage, having traveled together extensively. Ellen also had tea twice at the White House – once with Mrs Johnson and once with Mrs Kennedy. Ellen passed away in Neffsville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, on July 2nd 2014, aged 110 years, 255 days.
Ellen’s age was verified by Anson Davis, myself and Waclaw Jan Kroczek, later retroactively accepted as valid by the GRG as of March 26th 2016.
