Herbert Wolding – thought to be the oldest man living in the USA, passes away at age 111.

(Whilst there is a claim from another male in the USA to being born in 1911, this has yet to be proven. Herbert Wolding was the oldest known living man in the US who was born in the US)

Herbert Olanda Wolding of Wisconsin, USA, passed away on November 17th 2023. Known as “Herb” to family and friends, he was born in Wisconsin on October 15th 1912 and lived 111 years, 33 days. Herbert married his wife Evelyn in 1934, and they remained together until her passing at 93 in 2011. They had two sons. Herbert started a milk delivery business during the Great Depression, growing the business over the years, with it still in operation today. Starting with just one truck, the company now has over 350 in operation.

The Gerontology Research Group extends it’s sincere condolences to the Wolding family at this difficult time. Whilst passing at any age is difficult, comfort can hopefully be found in his extraordinary long time on earth and the happy family life he must have had.
