Biography
At the time of her death aged 110 years, 65 days, she was reported to be Japan’s Oldest Woman. At the time of her death, she was residing in a home for the aged in Kumamoto Prefecture.
She was a widow of an innkeeper, and moved to the nursing home in February 1975 when her 69-year-old daughter fell ill.
