Biography
Miho Matsuzaki was born in Oita Prefecture, Japan, on 18.04.1913 (Taisho 2). She moved from Oita Prefecture to Oguni City after getting married. After her husband died at the age of 99, about 20 years ago, she moved to Kumamoto City to live with her family. At the time of her 111th birthday, she lived in a nursing home for the elderly in Higashi Ward. When asked about the secret of her longevity, he replied, “Nothing,”. She had no chronic illnesses, used a walker, and usually liked puzzles and quizzes. Before the new virus epidemic, she spent most of his time at home.
On 25 January 2023, following the death of 113-year-old Shinobu Hayashi, she became the oldest living person in Kumamoto Prefecture.
