Georgette Huard turns 113 in France

The GRG is pleased to announce that Georgette Huard celebrated her 113th birthday today.

The mayor of her city of residence since 1992 (Sées, Normandy, France) published a Facebook post today in honor of her 113th birthday.

Georgette was born on November 24 1912 in Havre, Normandy, France, becoming “Ward of the Nation” after losing her father during the First World War. She went on to marry in 1942 and had one son. Georgette was sadly widowed in 1992 and moved into a care facility in 2011.

She is currently the oldest known living person in the Normandy region of France.

Her age was validated by GRG-France Correspondent Sylvain Grosgeorge and accepted by the GRG on January 17th 2024.
