Dr. Coles' Supercentenarian Institute
Yvonne Francier, who has never been mediatized, was completely unknown until a few weeks ago. She was living the slow and peaceful rhythm of life in Corsica, France.
It appears that she was born 28th February 1913, making her the oldest Belgium citizen and 6th oldest known person living in France!
GRG analyzed her case and based on the information found, validated her case, making her the official doyenne of Belgium and doyenne of Corsica, France.
Discovery of a unknown 112 y.o. woman is quite a rare event, even in France! One can remember Georges Thomas of France. It’s a very impressive discovery, as being born before the start of WWI becomes rarer and rarer.
The Gerontology Research Group (GRG) is a global non-profit dedicated to validating, recording, and researching supercentenarians — those aged 110 or older. Founded in 1990, we focus on human longevity, healthy aging, and studying the lives of the world’s oldest people.
Our work requires significant funding for research, travel, and maintaining our website. Any financial support would greatly aid our mission to advance the understanding of human longevity.
If you wish to support our research financially, please donate to our efforts, but only if you can afford it. We would greatly appreciate even a symbolic support. Thank you!
