The GRG announces the age validation of Eleanor J Nielsen, nee Wrede. Eleanor was born January 26th 1903 in West Point, Cuming County, Nebraska, USA, to John and Anna Wrede. She had at least five siblings. On August 12th 1937, Eleanor married Oluf Peter Nielsen, known as Pete. They reportedly only had one child together – a son who died at 18 months of age. Pete sadly passed away in 1975, leaving Eleanor a widow, after which she did not remarry. Eleanor passed away in a nursing home in Norfolk, Madison County, Nebraska, on her 110th birthday (January 26th 2013) aged exactly 110 years.
Her age was verified by Anson Davis and Ilias Leivaditis. This was validated by the GRG with a retroactive date of January 17th 2017.
