Catherine Gode (1914-present) validation

The GRG announces today the age validation of Catherine Marguerite Gode, nee Celton. Catherine was born January 18th 1914 in Paris, France, to Francois Marie Celton and Marie Adolphine Celton, nee Le Gouil. On September 30th 1933, Catherine married Andre Gode in Mainvilliers, Eure-et-Loir, going on to have at least two daughters together. During the Second World War, Catherine and her husband hid French people fleeing from the Nazi’s in their attic. They took an active role in the resistance of Nazism. Andre sadly passed away in 1976, leaving Catherine a widow – she never remarried. Catherine currently lives in Luce, Eure-et-Loir, at age 110.

Catherine’s age was verified by France correspondent Sylvain Grosgeorge and validated by the GRG today – February 21st 2024.
