Maude Snyder (1875-1986) validation
The GRG announces the age validation of Maude Elizabeth Snyder, nee Renner. Maude was born November 11th 1875 in Clear Spring, Washington County, Maryland, USA, to Abraham and Amanda Renner. She reportedly had four siblings. On February 23rd 1897, Maude married Isaac Clayton Snyder in Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. They went on to have five children together. They continued to live in Washington County, with Maude staying there after Isaac passed away in 1952. She moved in with her son and daughter-in-law in 1971 and reportedly had poor vision later in life and had had a leg amputated from poor circulation. Maude passed away in Williamsport, Washington County, Maryland, on September 3rd 1986, aged 110 years, 296 days. She was thought to be the oldest living resident in Maryland before her passing.
Maude’s age was verified by Jack Knight and Nick Eriksson, then validated by the GRG with a retroactive date of November 15th 2016.
