Cecile Marchais (1913-present) validation

The GRG announces the age validation of Cecile Marchais, nee Marpaud. Cecile was born October 17th 1913 in Marcillac, Gironde, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France, to Jean and Clemence Marpaud. On June 28th 1930, at just 16 years of age, Cecile married Theophile Marchais, who was 21. They went on to have two children together – Colette and Michel. Cecile was sadly widowed in 1965 when Theophile died in an accident. She continued farming after his death. She lives in the same village as her birth, getting around with the help of a walker at the age of 110.

Cecile’s age was verified by Sylvain Grosgeorge and accepted as valid by the GRG today, February 12th 2024.
