Louise Begley (1866-1977) validation

The GRG announces today the age validation of Louise Begley. Louise was born April 8th 1866 in Brooklyn, New York, New York State, USA, to John and Margaret Begley. By 1875 the family had moved to Oswego, Oswego County, New York. She never married or had any known children. By at least 1920, Louise was living in Syracuse. Reportedly she worked as a servant for the same family in Syracuse for 50 years before retiring. Louise passed away in Syracuse in a nursing home on April 16th 1977, aged 111 years, 8 days.

Louise’s age was verified by Anson Davis, et al, and accepted by the GRG as valid with a retroactive date of October 4th 2016.
