Morrie Markoff (1914-present) validation
The GRG announces the first 1914-born age validation – Morrie Markoff. Morrie was born in New York City, New York, USA, on January 11th 1914 to Max and Rose Markoff – both Russian-born immigrants. In November 1938, Morrie married Betty Goldmintz and went on to have two children – a son and a daughter. By the time of their marriage, they were both residing in California. Sadly, Betty died in 2019 at age 103, leaving Morrie a widower. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California, at age 110 and is the oldest known blogger in the world after the passing of Dagny Carlsson in March 2022. He is also among the oldest known living men in the US.
Morrie’s age was verified by Dejan Vujic, myself and Waclaw Jan Kroczek, accepted as valid by the GRG as of today, January 18th 2024.
