Alice Hoffs (1902-2012) validation
The GRG announces the age validation of Alice Mae Hoffs, nee Brower. Alice was born February 25th 1902 in Heath Township, Allegan County, Michigan, USA and baptized in the same county. On March 31st 1927, she married Marinus Adrian Hoffs and went on to have at least three children – all daughters. On August 22nd 1971, Marinus sadly passed away, leaving Alice a widow for the remainder of her life. According to reports, Alice enjoyed travelling the world and did so quite a lot. She also led an active social life into later years. Longevity seems to run in her family – her father lived to 91, a sister to 99 and another sister to 102. Alice passed away on October 31st 2012, aged 110 years, 249 days in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.
Alice’s age was verified by Anson Davis, Ilias Leivaditis and Waclaw Jan Kroczek, later accepted as valid with a retroactive date of June 9th 2016.
