Mary Johnson (1881-1992) validation
The GRG announces the age validation of Mary Johnson, formerly Wing, Formerly Walls, nee Green. Mary was born in Seymour, Jackson County, Indiana, USA, on March 2nd 1881. In her work life, she worked for a time at a canning factory, then 84 years operating a tailor shop. Mary married three times. Firstly to James B Wing on October 28th 1901, then James C Walls on February 11th 1905, then finally to Perry King Johnson on March 23rd 1911. She had three children with her third husband, but none with the previous two. Mary died in a longterm care facility in Lakeview, Logan County, Ohio, on July 10th 1992, aged 111 years, 130 days.
Mary’s age was verified by Daniel Gonik, Ilias Leivaditis, Waclaw Jan Kroczek and myself, later accepted retroactively as valid by the GRG on March 25th 2016.
