Dr. Coles' Supercentenarian Institute
Andree Guyon, born June 6th 1911 in Aize, France, sadly passed away on November 25th 2023 at age 112 years, 172 days in Saint Eliph. She married her husband, Pierre, in 1937 and went on to have two daughters. Andree worked for the same family, as a cook, for 70 years, until she was 99. In 2015 she had a leg amputation, after which she required the use of a wheelchair. Until her death, she was the oldest person in her region of France.
The GRG extends its condolences to the family and friends of Andree.
The Gerontology Research Group (GRG) is a global non-profit dedicated to validating, recording, and researching supercentenarians — those aged 110 or older. Founded in 1990, we focus on human longevity, healthy aging, and studying the lives of the world’s oldest people.
Our work requires significant funding for research, travel, and maintaining our website. Any financial support would greatly aid our mission to advance the understanding of human longevity.
If you wish to support our research financially, please donate to our efforts, but only if you can afford it. We would greatly appreciate even a symbolic support. Thank you!
