Biography
Ruby Viola Clay was born in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana, USA, on May 17 1912 to parents Andrew Clement and Ida Louise (nee Baker) Clay.
By 1920 the family were living in Ohio. On November 4 1931 she married Ferrall Wheeler Lockhart in Indiana, before returning to Ohio. The couple had three children together. Ferrall passed away on August 23 1982, after which Ruby never married again.
In May 2022 she became a supercentenarian on reaching her 110th birthday.
Ruby passed away in a care facility in Bryan, Williams County, Ohio, on October 16 2024, aged 112 years, 152 days.
