Biography
Mabel Dunbar was born in Wakefield, Trelawny, Jamaica (then part of the British West Indies) on September 5 1914 to parents James Percival Dunbar and Henrietta McCleod.
Mabel never married but had two children – both daughters. One daughter died at only seven months old.
At some point Mabel moved to the US to live near her daughter Minora, who had already moved to New York.
Mabel moved to Florida around 2000. She lived in Palm Coast, Florida at age 110, before moving to live with family in Georgia in August 2025.
