Biography

Christina van Druten-Hoogakker was born in Andelst, Gelderland, Netherlands, on 20 November 1876. She was the daughter of Gerrit Hoogakker i Elisabeth Stam. In her adult life, she married Cornelis van Druten. On 1 May 1986, she became the oldest living person in the Netherlands, following the death of Margaretha Eijken. On 20 November 1986, she turned 110, becoming a supercentenarian.

On 10 May 1987, she passed the final ages of Margaretha Eijken and Petronella Ribbens-Verstallen to become the oldest Dutch person ever. On 20 November 1987, she became the first Dutch person to reach the age of 111. Her Dutch longevity record was surpassed by Catharina van Dam-Groeneveld in 1998.

Christina van Druten-Hoogakker died in Lakemond, Gelderland, Netherlands on 8 December 1987 at age 111 years, 18 days.
