Bridget “Bid” Maud Jennings was born on November 18 1914 in Leederville, Vincent, Perth, Western Australia. Her parents were Henry and Eva Jennings.

In 1943 she married Richard James Grocke (known as Jim) and went on to have four children together. Jim passed away in 1985, leaving Bridget a widow.

In 2024, Bridget turned 110. She credits her long life to family and a daily bottle of her favorite beer. Bridget currently lives in a care facility in Jolimont, Western Australia, aged 111.
