Biography
Alice Rebecca Bray was born on November 19 1914 in South Carolina to parents James and Jody Bray. She spent much of her childhood in Georgia.
On December 9 1933, aged 19, Alice married Heard Emmett Langford in Greenville, South Carolina. They went on to have three children together – a son and two daughters. By 1950 the family were living in Virginia. Heard sadly passed away in 1961, after which Alice did not remarry.
Alice passed away in Richmond, Virginia, at age 111 years, 144 days, on April 12 2026.
