The Gerontology Research Group is delighted to announce that Mrs. Mary Florence Walker, the second-oldest living person in the United Kingdom, celebrated her 113th birthday on 28 August 2024 in Croydon, London, England, UK.
Mary Florence Walker was born in London, England, United Kingdom on 28 August 1911.
On 28 August 2021, she celebrated her 110th birthday, becoming a supercentenarian.
On 16 January 2024, following the death of 112-year-old Edna Strickland, she became the last known British person born in 1911.

Mary Florence Walker currently lives in Croydon, London, England, UK at the age of 113 years. She is currently the oldest living person in London, and the second-oldest living person in the United Kingdom, behind 115-year-old Ethel Caterham.
