Maria Branyas Morera turns 117!
The GRG is happy to share the news that Maria Branyas Morera is celebrating her 117th birthday today. Born March 4th 1907 in San Francisco, California, USA, her family moved to New Orleans and then on to Olot, Catalonia, Spain. She currently still resides in Olot, in a care home there.
Maria is the oldest person to ever reside in Spain, the oldest known currently living person in the world and one of only 12 people to reach the age of 117. She also survived Covid-19 at age 113.
