The GRG announces the age validation of Augusta Oteiza (née Duprat). Augusta was born in Cauneille, Landes, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France on 3 May 1912. When she was 7, it was decided she would live with her aunt and godfather, as they could not have children of their own. She said this was quite traumatic for her. Nevertheless, she married and had six children. Now she has great-great-grandchildren. Approaching 112, Augusta lives in Boucau, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. She is the oldest living person in Landes department and in Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
Augusta’s age was verified by Sylvain Grosgeorge, accepted as valid by the GRG on 3 January 2024.
