Maud Nicholl (1909-2019) validation

The GRG announces the age validation of Annie Matilda Nicholl, known as Maud to those who knew her. Maud was born in Ballymena, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, UK, on July 3rd 1909 to John and Jane Nicholl. She had one known sibling – a brother named Joseph. Maud never married, never drove a car and lived her whole life in County Antrim. After the death of her mother, Maud looked after her brother and father. In later life, she lived independently, but by 2019 was living in a care home in Randalstown. Maud died there on September 19th 2019, aged 110 years, 78 days.

Maud’s age was verified by Waclaw Jan Kroczek and myself, later accepted as valid by the GRG with a retroactive date of December 18th 2020.
