John Farringdon (1913-present) validation
The GRG today announces the validation of John Farringdon’s age. John was born in Enfield, Edmonton District, Middlesex County, England, UK, on June 7th 1913. His parents were Benjamin and Ethel Farringdon and he had at least three sisters. In early 1946, John married Margaret Irene Willis, formerly Wain. John worked for Ford motor company for 40 years before retiring, and was an active driver for 88 years – reportedly with no accidents, before giving up at age 105. John now lives in a care home in Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire County, England, UK.
John is the last known British man born in 1913, as well as the second-oldest known living man in the UK, behind John Tinniswood.
John’s age was verified by myself, later accepted by the GRG on November 21st 2023.
