Helena “Leny” Barbara Maria Mackenbach (1912-2023) validation

The GRG announces the age validation of Helena Barbara Maria Mackenbach of the Netherlands, known as “Leny”. 
Leny was born December 29th 1912 in Rotterdam, South Holland, Netherlands. In December 2022 she reached supercentenarain status. Leny was the oldest known living person in the Netherlands and the Benelux before her death.
She passed away in Rotterdam, the same city as her birth, on December 6th 2023, aged 110 years, 342 days – just short of her 111th birthday.
Her age was verified by Gert Jan Kuiper and Jair Van Dijk, then validated by the GRG on November 18th 2023. Unfortunately, the announcement of her validation did not come before her death.
