Mary Belle McCaleb (1900-2011) validation

The GRG is happy to announce the age validation of Mary Belle McCaleb, nee Schnautz. Mary was born in Cedar Valley, Travis County, Texas, USA, on September 6th 1900. In 1944 she married Laban White McCaleb. They had no children together. They lived in various places around the US, with Mary working as a bookkeeper. Laban died in 1973, after which Mary lived with her mother and a sister. Her mother reached the remarkable age of 103 and a sister to 102!

In 1980, Mary moved into a care home. She was very active in the home and local church. At the age of 100, her home closed down and she had to move to another facility, where she spent the rest of her life.

Mary died in Guthrie, Logan County, Oklahoma, USA, on November 26th 2011, aged 111 years, 81 days. Her age was verified by Mark Muir and Anson Davis, then validated by the GRG on February 10th 2016.
