Dr. Coles' Supercentenarian Institute
Lucienne Moreau of France has had her age validated by the GRG. She was born on October 25th 1912 in Aize, Indre, Centre-Val de Loire, France. She married Raymond Moreau and went on to have two children. Raymond Moreau passed away in 1980. She moved into a care home, around the age of 104, in Issoudun, Indre, Centre-Val de Loire, France, where she still lives. Lucienne is the oldest known living person in the region she resides in.
Her age verification was provided by Dr Laurent Moreau and Sylvain Grosgeorge (our correspondent for France). Thanks go to them both.
The Gerontology Research Group (GRG) is a global non-profit dedicated to validating, recording, and researching supercentenarians — those aged 110 or older. Founded in 1990, we focus on human longevity, healthy aging, and studying the lives of the world’s oldest people.
Our work requires significant funding for research, travel, and maintaining our website. Any financial support would greatly aid our mission to advance the understanding of human longevity.
If you wish to support our research financially, please donate to our efforts, but only if you can afford it. We would greatly appreciate even a symbolic support. Thank you!
