Biography
Virginia Audrey Stafford was born in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo County, Michigan, USA, on January 29 1912 to parents William Martin and Elsie Mabel (nee Frank) Stafford.
On December 1 1933 she married Robert Hart Anderson in Brooklyn, New York City, New York. They returned to Michigan and went on to have at least three children together. Robert passed away on September 6 1950, after which Virginia married Edward Peter Van Peenen on July 14 1966. He passed away on April 8 1998, after which Virginia never married again and moved to North Carolina at some point.
In January 2021 she became a supercentenarian on turning 110.
Virginia passed away in Cary, Wake County, North Carolina, on October 25 2022, aged 110 years, 269 days.
