Virginia Estelle Phillips (often known by her middle name) was born January 29 1913 (claimed 1914) in North View, Mecklenburg County, Virginia, USA, to Abron and Sallie Phillips.
On November 28 1934 she married Henry Wilbur Bell in Mecklenburg County. They had four children together – two girls, two boys. Henry sadly passed away on June 22 1997, after which Virginia did not remarry.
Virginia passed away in a care facility in Chase City, Mecklenburg County, Virginia, at the age of 112 years, 288 days, on November 13 2025.
