Gertrude Adeline Gilbertson (known as “Trudy” and “Gert”) was born in Barnes County, North Dakota, USA, on April 4 1916 to parents Martin Oscar and Merle Caroline (nee Johnson) Gilbertson.
By 1940 she was living in Minnesota, but returned to North Dakota to marry Edwin Selmer Larson in Ramsey County. They were back living in Minnesota by 1950 and had at least two children together. Edwin passed away on January 12 1990, after which Trudy never remarried.
In April 2026 she became a supercentenarian on turning 110. Trudy currently lives in Fergus Falls, Otter Tail County, Minnesota.
