Maria Silva Fernandez (known as “Jacinta”) was born in Treinta y Tres, Uruguay, on May 15 1904 .
She married Claudio Gonzalez and went on to have eleven children together. Claudio passed away in 1989, after which she didn’t remarry.
In May 2014, Jacinta celebrated becoming a supercentenarian when she turned 110.
She passed away in Montevideo, Uruguay, on July 29 2016, aged 112 years, 75 days.
