Madeline McKenzie Orlowski was born on May 4 1907 in Dunedin, New Zealand, to parents John and Jane Orlowski.

Madeline married Henry Anderson on September 6 1941 and went on to have three children together. Henry passed away on January 13 1979, after which Madeline didn’t remarry.

She passed away at age 111 years, 46 days on June 19 2018 in Upper Hutt, New Zealand. Madeline had been the oldest known living person in New Zealand before her death.
