Biography

Luis Gonzaga Carrasco-Munoz Perez de la Isla was born in Madrid, Spain, on February 13 1914 to parents Jesús Carrasco-Muñoz and Elisa Pérez de Isla.

He married Matilde Cuacos Calvo and went on to have at least one child – a son.

In February 2024, Luis celebrated his 110th birthday with family and friends, becoming a supercentenarian.

He passed away on October 29 2025 in Madrid, aged 111 years, 258 days. Luis had been the oldest known man in Spain since the passing of Mateo Balbuena Iglesias in July 2024.
