Biography

Louise Granillo-Valenzuela was born on August 19 1902 (claimed 1901) in Kernville, California, USA, to Francisco Granillo and Dolores Valenzuela.

In June 1923 she married Anthony M Senna in Hanford, California. They had one child together – a daughter named after Louise’s mother. Anthony died in 1969, after which Louise didn’t remarry.

In August 2012 she turned 110 (claimed 111), gaining supercentenarian status.

Louise passed away at some point in October 2014 at the age of 112 (claimed 113).

Given all the documents found for Louise to verify her age, the earliest found point to her having been born in 1902, not 1901 as claimed. No birth record has been found to confirm either way, yet she was at least 112 when she passed away. To be on the cautious side, the GRG decided to go with 1902 as the year of birth until a record of birth or baptism is found.
